10. Payment provider
In the context of payment in our online store, we collect certain personal data from you in order to process the payment transaction. We use various payment providers to make shopping in our online store as convenient as possible. These include, among others, the following services:
1. PayPal
We have integrated components of PayPal on this website. PayPal is an online payment service provider. Payments are processed via so-called PayPal accounts, which represent virtual private or business accounts. In addition, PayPal offers the option of processing virtual payments via credit cards if a user does not maintain a PayPal account. A PayPal account is managed via an email address, which is why there is no classic account number. PayPal makes it possible to initiate online payments to third parties or to receive payments as well. PayPal also assumes trustee functions and offers buyer protection services.
The European operating company of PayPal is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg, Luxembourg.
If you select "PayPal" as a payment option during the ordering process in our online store, your data will be automatically transmitted to PayPal. By selecting this payment option, you consent to the transmission of personal data required for payment processing. The personal data transmitted to PayPal are usually first name, last name, address, email address, IP address, phone number, cell phone number or other data necessary for payment processing. Also necessary for the processing of the purchase contract are such personal data that are related to the respective order.
The transmission of data is for the purpose of payment processing and fraud prevention. We will transmit personal data to PayPal in particular if there is a legitimate interest for the transmission. The personal data exchanged between PayPal and us may be transmitted by PayPal to credit reporting agencies. The purpose of this transmission is to check identity and creditworthiness. PayPal may share the personal data with affiliated companies and service providers or subcontractors to the extent necessary to fulfill contractual obligations or to process the data on behalf. You have the option to revoke your consent to the handling of personal data at any time vis-à-vis PayPal. A revocation does not affect personal data that must be processed, used or transmitted mandatory for (contractual) payment processing. PayPal is used in the interest of proper and smooth payment processing. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO.
PayPal's applicable privacy policy can be found at https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full.
2. Credit Card
In our online store we offer, among other things, payment by credit card via Shopify Payments. In order to process your payment, personal data is passed on to the payment service provider Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland.
If you select payment via credit card, the payment data you enter will be transmitted to Shopify International Limited. With this payment method, you have the option to pay for your order via VISA or Mastercard credit card. The payment processing is handled securely through an external site of Shopify International Limited to fully protect your data. Upon completion of the transaction, your account will be conveniently and securely debited with the invoice amount. The transfer of your data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (consent) and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (processing for the performance of a contract). You have the option to revoke your consent to data processing at any time. A revocation does not affect the validity of past data processing operations.
3. Sofortüberweisung
There is the possibility of payment by Sofortüberweisung. In this case, the data is collected by Sofort GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich. The responsible party does not collect and store the data itself. With the issuance of an instant transfer, you instruct Sofort GmbH to automatically check whether your account covers the amount to be transferred (account coverage check), and any instant transfers of the last 30 days from your account have been successfully completed, and after a positive check, the transfer order released by you in electronic form to your bank, as well as to inform us, as the payee selected by you (online provider), about the successful setting of the transfer.
For this, Sofort GmbH requires the IBAN as well as PIN and TAN of your online banking account. During the order process, you will be automatically redirected to the secure payment form of Sofort GmbH. Immediately afterwards you will receive the confirmation of the transaction. Thereupon we receive the transfer credit directly. Anyone who has an activated online banking account with PIN/TAN procedure can use Sofortüberweisung as a payment method. Please note that a few banks do not yet support payment by instant transfer. You can get more information about this via the following link:
https://www.klarna.com/sofort/.
You can find more information about the stored data under
https://www.klarna.com/sofort/#cq-0.
4. Klarna
If you select a Klarna payment service, the payment will be processed via the
Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 11134 Stockholm, Schweden (nachfolgend „Klarna“).
In order to enable the processing of the payment, your personal data (first and last name, street, house number, zip code, city, gender, e-mail address, telephone number and IP address) as well as data related to the order (e.g. invoice amount, article, delivery type) will be forwarded to Klarna for the purpose of identity and credit checks, provided that you have expressly consented to this in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO during the ordering process. You can see which credit agencies your data may be forwarded to here:
https://cdn.klarna.com/1.0/shared/content/legal/terms/0/de_de/credit_rating_agencies
The credit report may contain probability values (score values). If score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical procedure. The calculation of the score values includes, but is not limited to, address data. Klarna uses the information obtained about the statistical probability of non-payment for a weighed decision on the establishment, implementation or termination of the contractual relationship. You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending a message to the data controller or to Klarna. However, Klarna remains entitled to process your personal data, if applicable, insofar as this is necessary for the processing of payments in accordance with the contract. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations and as specified in Klarna's Privacy Policy for Data Subjects Located in Germany.

4. Apple Pay
If you choose the payment method "Apple Pay" of Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, the payment processing is carried out via the "Apple Pay" function of your terminal device running iOS, watchOS or macOS by charging a payment card deposited with "Apple Pay".
Apple Pay uses security features that are integrated into the hardware and software of your device to protect your transactions. For the release of a payment, the entry of a code previously defined by you as well as the verification by means of the "Face ID" or "Touch ID" function of your terminal device is therefore required. For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is passed on to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to carry out the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. After the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the source website to confirm the success of the payment.
If personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO. Apple retains anonymized transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, the approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was completed successfully. The anonymization completely eliminates any reference to individuals. Apple uses the anonymized data to improve "Apple Pay" and other Apple products and services.
When you use Apple Pay on iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made through Safari on Mac, the Mac and the authorization device communicate over an encrypted channel on Apple's servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you personally. You can disable the ability to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay," and uncheck "Allow payments on Mac." For more information about Apple Pay privacy, visit the web address below:
https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027
5. Google Pay
If you choose the payment method "Google Pay" of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"), the payment will be processed via the "Google Pay" application of your mobile device running at least Android 4.4 ("KitKat") and having an NFC function by charging a payment card deposited with Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). For the release of a payment via Google Pay in the amount of more than €25, the prior unlocking of your mobile end device by the respective verification measure set up (such as facial recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern) is required.
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, will be passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay in the form of a uniquely assigned transaction number to the source website, which is used to verify a completed payment. This transaction number does not contain any information about the real payment data of your payment means deposited in Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a one-time valid numeric token. For all transactions via Google Pay, Google only acts as an intermediary to process the payment transaction. The transaction is carried out exclusively in the relationship between the user and the source website by debiting the means of payment deposited with Google Pay.
Insofar as personal data is processed during the described transfers, the processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO. Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain transaction-specific information for each transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the purchased goods or services provided by the merchant, photos that you have attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or the sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description for the reason for the transaction and, if applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.
According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper billing, the verification of transaction data and the optimization and functional maintenance of the Google Pay service. Google also reserves the right to merge the processed transaction data with further information collected and stored by Google when using other Google services. The terms of use of Google Pay can be found here:
